Description
The municipal T-shirt is the slightly boxy T-shirt with a set-in collar. Milled from North Carolina Cotton, the yarn is knit into a dry, mid weight six ounce carded jersey that has a crisp hand that breaks in after many washes.
Oak Gall is tannin-rich substance that, when combined with iron, oxidises in a dye bath, yielding nuanced and textured hues. This pre-industrial technique was important to the development of garment dyeing practices.
Hand-dyed by multidisciplinary artist Noah Schneiderman.
