Livid’s maxi-fit shirt, Huff. Made in an incredible pure noil silk fabric woven by the artisanal mill Kowa in Japan. Made with a slubby Thai silk yarn, and woven with artisanal skill, this particular fabric combines an organic texture with elegant drape and movement.
Noil silk is produced with the shorter silk fibres that are left over from production of other silk fabrics. Spun together these differing fibre lengths give the silk yarn a rougher texture, and a matte finish compared to the sheen from continuous silk fibres. Stronger than cotton, noil silk features a heavy fluid drape and has excellent temperature regulating properties, breathing and keeping you cool and dry in hot weather and warm in cold climates.
The Huff gives a clean, but relaxed and and slightly oversized look. Designed with a generous straight cut, a longer, curved back hem and intended for normal layering. Featuring a clean collar, overlocked and dropped shoulders, a centre front closure with mother of pearl buttons made in Portugal, and long sleeves ending in button cuffs.
